2013 NW Creek Comp Results

Here are the complete results for the 2013 NW Creeking Competition - both East Fork Lewis and Canyon Creek races. A big shout out to all our sponsors, volunteers, racers, and other participants!

Do you have any pictures of the races or other activities over the weekend? Want to talk about your lines? Feel free to comment below, and let us see your pictures. We're also over on Facebook, where we'll soon have over 150 pictures of racers in action posted - feel free to tag yourself in any of those photos.

These results will be rolled into the Western Whitewater Championship Series points by Wednesday of this week.

Saturday, 4/20: East Fork Lewis
John's Swimming Hole took it's toll today. Sometimes multiple times.

Sunday, 4/21: Canyon Creek
The weather was supposed to be a bit sunnier, but the level was good for racing.

NWCC 2013 is Done!

It was an interesting weekend, wasn't it? I didn't get to see a lot of the action as I was moving folks from points A to B, but I heard about a whole lot. What was your favorite thing about the weekend? Take any great photos? Share both of them by posting them in comments here!

As soon as I get finalized results, I'll post them here as well.

Thanks all!

There it is folks. The last rainy spell we had spiked the EFL, but it appears to be cresting. Forecast intermittent rain may keep it from falling too fast. Looks like we got a race on our hands. I'm not a full-time professional river-forecasting guy, but that's what it looks like to me.

And with that, I'm signing out to head up to Sunset.  If you're competing, stop by the Next Adventure hospitality tent (or as I like to think of it, "Hasspitality Tent".) Introduce yourself if you're a reader, and I can probably find something you'll like. I'll likely also be driving shuttle, so I'll be around.

See you there, and see you back online with results as soon as they are available to post. If you get any good pictures, please share. And, of course, we'll see you next year.

NW Creek Comp - 100% Community!

Great news this year. Since the Creek Comp is organized and run by a dedicated team of volunteers, and anyone can pitch in and help out, this year all of our shirts will identify us as volunteers. We're labelled as volunteers, so we're all welcome to pitch in and help out.

Some sick looking trophies

Well, nuts. Now I wish I'd trained more, because this year's trophies are awesome. Thanks to our sponsor, Saltwood Paddles, for generously providing them!

Finalized Creek Comp Schedule

Here's the final schedule for this weekend's hijinks. Of course, we'll all be flexible as we need to be, but just remember, "Be ready and in the Eddy." The schedule's kind of small on a computer, but it will be prominently posted around the event sites.
